πŸ™‹ FAQ

Do you have multi-balls?

No. I have tested multiball several times and decided that it is not suitable for this game for the following reasons:

  1. the incompatibility of top view 2D pixel art and multiball.
  2. frequently switch display layers (inside buildings) in the playfield.
  3. slow motion and pauses occur when the player does not intend to.
  4. narrow margins of the playfield designed for speedy single-ball play.

Are there multiple levels?

No. I believe it is more important for players to play one level repeatedly and feel that their play improves than having multiple levels in this game. If additional levels are implemented, they will be sequels.

My controller is not responding!

Only XInput controllers are supported; you can play with other controllers by emulating keyboard input with a Steam client or other software.

Hey there. Will it be possible to consider creating a port of Tokyo Pinball to the Evercade?

(1 edit)

Tokyo Pinball isn't that popular, so it's not worth it at the moment. πŸ˜‚ It's made with Monogame, and Evercade seems to support Unity, so I think it's technically possible.

Evercade doesn't actually support Unity. It does support Godot, though.

I'm a big pinball fan. The playfield is relatively simple, but the difficulty is just right. I was originally concerned that because this game is targeted at beginners, it would be too easy, but it offers a challenge. I like the darkened playfield effects and the lane light changes, something missing from a lot of digital pinball. I'm glad you added turning slow motion off, as it can throw one off. I hope to see in a future work that you introduce more playfield features and multiball. I find the lack of multiball a sad omission, despite the issues you stated for not including it. I also hope it's possible to move the "mission text" somewhere like the top of the screen instead of it appearing in the middle, which I find distracting sometimes, as it obscures the playfield. Overall a good start, but I'd like to see more going on and multiball.

Thank you for your comment. I made it possible to change the display position of the mission guide in ver 1.05.

Thank you

Thanks for playing my game. πŸ€—

If you get used to pinball, you should try playing the actual machine at a nearby arcade. It offers a different kind of enjoyment compared to video games!
